Description:
Our client, a well known global freight forwarder based in Colnbrook are seeking a Freight Customer Service Operator to join their team.
The Customer Service Operator is responsible for the delivery of customer service excellence working in line with contractual requirements for a premier key account customer.
Role duties would involve -
Arranging both import and export shipments in the most efficient and cost effective manner, whilst achieving the required service levels.
Booking worldwide Courier shipments using DHL and Fedex systems.
Keeping client informed of shipment progress.
Billing out of shipments.
Customs entries for Imports - training given.
Essential Skills:
Previous experience in a similar role
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Strong IT skills
Team Player
Due to the nature of the role, you must be a British Citizen
Hours: Monday - Friday 1000 - 1800 (30 mins for lunch - if you need an hour for lunch you there is flexibility to start half hour early or finish 30 mins later)
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 subject to experience
Due to the location, your own transport is essential
